Ashkem
enterprise (India) Pvt ltd is a company floated
by committed and well qualified professionals.
It s a leading company engaged in supply of fly
ash in north and north west India.
Our job is to bring quality and certified pulverized
fly ash directly from the ESP of the power plant for
your use. We take utmost care in collection of fly
ash from state of the art thermal power plants to
ensure best quality.
Applications of ASHKEM (fly ash)
1. All grades of concrete for residential,
commercial as well as industrial structures.
2. Mortar for plastering in residential, commercial
well as industrial structures.
3. Foundations of residential, commercial as well as
industrial structures.
4. Infrastructure projects where high strength high
performance concrete is required.
5. Marine construction such as ports, harbors, and
jetties.
6. Bridges and fly-overs.
7. Roads and pathways.
8. Dams and other mass concrete works.
9. Water treatment plants and sewage treatment
plants.
10. Effluent treatment plants and sewage treatment
plants.
11. In concrete products for shore protection.
12. In Ready mix concrete of all grades.
13. For use in high volume fly ash (HVFA) concrete.
14. Manufacturing of fly ash blocks and bricks
Advantages of using ASHKEM
1. Improved workability- hence ease of handling,
placing (pumping),and compacting concrete. It also
helps to reduce consumption of admixtures.
2. Reduction in
bleeding and improvement in cohesiveness of
concrete- hence smooth form finished concrete
without honey-combing or segregation.
3. Reduction in heat of
hydration- hence on threat of thermal cracks which
makes it ideal for foundations and larges section.
It also comes in handy to design higher grades of
concrete.
4. Better long term
strength- the C-S-H gel formed during reaction of
ash with Ca(OH)2 results in refinement of
microstructure of concrete leading to higher
compressive strength. The strength gain in Ashkem
concrete continues for a very long period.
5. Improved resistance
to Chloride attack- Chloride attacks lead to
corrosion of reinforcing steel and subsequent
distress of concrete. Corrosion of steel in concrete
is an electro-chemical phenomenon and essentially
needs water, oxygen and chloride ions to occur. In
case of Ashkem concrete, due to refinement of
microstructure and improved impermeability, the
ingress and diffusion of chloride ions is largely
restricted protecting the steel from corrosion and
concrete from distress.
6. Impermeability- due
to refinement of microstructure of concrete as a
result of formation of extra C-S-H gel from the
reaction between ashkem and Ca(OH)2. The
impermeability of concrete guards it from onslaught
of deleterious chemicals from the atmosphere as well
as from the subsoil.
7. Helps in environment
protection –
i) optimization in use of cement, hence conservation
of minerals and
energy required for its production and also
reduction in emission of
CO2 ;
ii) utilization of industrial by-product for making
better, durable concrete hence reduction in green
house gases;
iii) conservation of concrete making materials like
aggregate and sand by significantly improving the
service life of structures.
Benefit for concrete
manufacturers and builders
Use of ashkem leads to savings :
i) in cost o concrete by way of saving in cement and
admixtures;
ii) in finishing cost because of smoother finish of
concrete;
iii) in lifecycle cost due to longer repair-free
service life of structures.
Major projects where
fly ash is used
INDIA
• Delhi metro rail project
• Rajasthan atomic power plant(RAPP)
• Mumbai Urban Infrastructure Project
WORLD
• Petronas Towers, Malaysia
• Euro Tunnel
• Sears Towers
Conclusion
Ashkem is a product
that is a most important ingredient of modern
technology concrete and construction. It’s not only
beneficial in term of cost but in every aspect of
construction work. So use of ashkem means strength
to your structure and to your reputation
